Moonlight abusin'

Dear Editor:

What kind of a narcissistic dork is it who thinks the world can't live without him riding his stereo equipped bicycle up and down every street in town at 10 p.m. in the dead of winter, blasting music as loud as possible that he evidently has the audacity to think that everyone needs to hear?

As I'm settling in from another 12 hour workday last night to watch President Obama's first news conference, here comes the guy who thinks he's become an indispensible part of the full moon bike ride, and to the lives of everyone else in town, for the past many months.

If people want to get out and enjoy a moonlit bike ride, fine — but I can't understand the point that this particular individual is trying to make, and why he is allowed to get away with it.

If I'm no longer allowed to walk in town with an open beer, minding my own business and disturbing no one, then why is this guy allowed to cruise around everywhere with a device made only to grab as much attention as possible?

Chief Schilling and his staff deserve credit for what seemed to be a more peaceful summer last year with less people cruising around shaking everyone's windows with their car stereos, but this dork only encourages more of that behavior, and he should be ticketed.
